Dedicated to the memory of Alec Edward Deller

It is with great sadness that at 1.36pm on the 23rd of December our Dad, Grandad, Husband, Friend, blooming decent bloke, Alec Deller passed away following a short battle with cancer.

Our Dad has touched so many lives and in so many ways and despite being so poorly he never once complained.

Apologies if you didn’t know that he was ill, but everything has happened so quickly and sadly our lives will never be quite the same again. Now is a time not to be sad but a time to reflect, celebrate and not to feel sorry for ourselves.

We cannot thank the Rowans Hospice enough, the nurses who went beyond the call of duty and everyone who volunteers with the Rowans, they have all been truly amazing. Whilst we have no objections to those wishing to lay/send flowers, our preference is for any donations, no matter how small, to the Rowans Hospice to support the fantastic work they do for those in need and the support  they provide for their families. To make a donation, please follow the purple link at the top right of this page.

The date for his funeral will be the 11th of January 2024 at 12.15pm. For those that cannot make it a webinar link to either view live or a recording can be sent on request. Afterwards we will be meeting at the Bun Penny from 1.30pm to raise a glass for one final time.

Whilst it is a sad time, we want his funeral to be a celebration of his life, so no need to wear all black unless you really want to. If you want to wear anything light and bright or even a Brentford FC shirt that is fine by us.

Remember whilst there will be some tears, this is a celebration.
